Claire Lazerwitz (she/her) is a multimedia journalist based in NYC and currently reporting for Lower Cape TV as a summer fellow in Orleans, MA.
She earned her B.A. in Law, History & Society and Spanish at Vanderbilt University, where she was awarded highest honors for her thesis on 18th-century British Antigua. After graduation, Claire was selected to be a Teach For America Corps Member in Washington, D.C. and taught Pre-K for two years.
Claire earned her M.S. from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. She has covered stories from oyster reef restoration on City Island to the New Sanctuary Movement in NYC. She co-authored and published an anthology of reported, narrative non-fiction stories titled, Piece by Piece: Picking Up What’s Left Behind.
